We here at TangoDown Studios know that life is hard. We also know that like us, people like to take risks every once and a while. The idea for our next app came to us oddly at a convenience store where people were complaining about having to manage office pools for the Powerball and MegaMillions. That’s when it us, we can make these people’s life easier through technology. Check back often to hear more on our latest and greatest idea.

Many updates! I added some very crude physics with collision detection (Non speculative right now, just discreet) and when the engine renders Axis Aligned Bounding Boxes it will automatically fill it in for you, so you can see all the beauty of the shapes : )

I’m going to upload an in depth DOS Game for Windows template that I’ve been working on so that anyone can start making simple but brilliant games in good old DOS. It’s very easy to use, and has some bounding box code already included so those of you who wish to incorporate complicated collision detection will already be halfway there. Feel free to use this for your own code, just make sure to mention me if you do.

Let me know if you make anything cool with it! Maybe I’ll upload a game or two that I’ve created using this library. : ) Also let me know if you can suggest any improvements for it as well.

In the midst of studying collision detection for upcoming games. Sure, we can probably use one of the nice resources already available such as Cocos2d and in effect box2d, but you know what? When you understand what’s going on the background it makes everything a little more fuzzy when it works correctly.
